- It is great! You will have ample time outside of your residency duties to go explore and enjoy this year before going into your advanced program.  Â
-Â Royal Oak, Birmingham, Ferndale are all great places to hang out. There is a great bar scene and because there are so many other residencies in the area (DMC, Henry Ford, Beaumont), the area is filled with other residents looking to have a good time.
- For the aquatically inclined…head on over to the beach!
- Great restaurants with new ones opening every month! Also, tons of farmer’s markets.
-Â Like sports? We got a few teams to watch, but you may have to get used to seeing them lose.
